How to take down websites or internet routers (DDOS)
Warning, this article is for educational purposes only. If you use the methods shown below to take down websites, or other people's domains, it is not my responsibility. DDOS is considered as a federal offence that is punishable by 8 years of jail. You can also use DDOS for good purposes, like testing how powerful your internet router is, or how powerful is the host of your web page. That is legal and no one will arrest you for trying to see how powerful your domains are.
In this article, I am going to show you how to DDOS on a MAC, since there are way to many programs to do that for windows. I am going to show you 3 ways to do it. Since this is for educational purposes, I used these methods on my internet router only, however, they also work on websites and other people's internet router. For any of you who do not know, DDOS is not a hack, it is just a way to hit networks offline by overloading them with packages. It does not take a master ming to hit websites offline. However, it does take a good computer, a good team, and a good strategy if you are planning to take down websites like Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Method 1:
- Open Terminal
- Type sudo -s and then press Enter.
- *Enter Password* (Your computer password), and then press Enter.
- Type ping -f SERVER IP (Instead of typing SERVER IP, type your router IP, or a website like www.google.com, or someone else's IP)
- Wait until the host is down. (You can see if the host is down when your wifi stops working *If you tried to take down your internet router*, or when the website says it could not load).
- When you are done, press crtl + c

As you can see from the picture above, this is what it should look like when you DDOS a network. Each second, a line of code comes up. The numbers you see on the right are called packets. It takes 10 000 000 packets to take down Google. With this technique, it would take you 8 hours just to take down Google, so it is a very inefficient technique for that, as other DDOS programs can take down major websites within minutes. However, this technique works well if you want to test the capacity of your internet router. You can also take down small websites in an hour, but the second method I will show you is more effective than the first.
Method 2:
This method uses a perl file called Slowloris. Credit to the community that created Slowloris. You will be able to download the file below, as downloading it from their website is tough for beginners, as you must arrange the lines of code in a specific order and remove some parts. After you download slowloris.pl, place it on your desktop. The file must be on your desktop for this method to work

slowloris.pl | |
File Size: | 11 kb |
File Type: | pl |
- Open Terminal
- Type cd desktop and then press Enter.
- Type perl slowloris.pl -dns www.example.com (Instead of typing www.example.com, type the url of a website or the IP of an internet router)
This method is very useful you have a strong internet connexion, or the host of your website has strong servers. Bare in mind that you can also use this techniques to take down a lot of websites. Except big ones of course. Using this method, you can take down websites as weebly websites, or private websites, or even hit other people's internet routers offline. The authorities might not be aware that you are taking down small websites or that you are hitting people's router offline, although I would not suggest doing that.
Method 3:
Coming to method 3, unless your wifi router is bigger than your home, you will only use this method to take down big industries. This can be achieved using a program called JavaLOIC. There will be a link below where you can download JavaLOIC. JavaLOIC is a program that allows you to send a huge number of packets to a website, overloading it, and bringing it offline in less than an hour. You can take down Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc... However, I would not suggest doing it, as JavaLOIC tends to use a lot of you computer power, making it hard to change your ip every 0.4 seconds. Unless you have good equipment and a good plan, I would not recommend using this method to take down major websites, as you might spend the next 10 years of your life in jail. As I said, this was all for educational purposes, so you would learn something about the topic of DDOS. It is not my responsibility if you use the methods above for illegal purposes, however, I did warn you about the consequences and I did give you my opinion.
